Taking a leaf out of Google’s book (they use goats at their Mountain View headquarters), the University of San Francisco has recruited a herd of hungry goats to tidy up the weeds and prevent fire on campus.
According to an article on KTVU.com, the goats were hired from San Francisco-based City Grazing, and are perfect for those hard-to-reach areas, such as steep hillsides and areas with a lot of brush or poison oak.
More than just eco-friendly, USF Environmental Safety Manager Joe Murphy said they’re quiet, efficient, cute and the neighbors love them.
